Obituary of Cyrus Ali Akbar Keshavarz

Cyrus Keshavarz, beloved husband of Wanda and loving father of Logan of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2005 after a short and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57 years. Cyrus was born on March 21, 1948 in Iran, and he immigrated to Canada in 1974. He married Wanda Nancoo on July 11, 1981 in Montreal, QC, and they moved to Calgary in 1983. Cyrus owned and operated the Field Bar and Grill, as well as being involved with other restaurants in Calgary where he made many life-long friendships. Cyrus had a great love of the mountains and nature which he shared with Wanda and Logan on numerous camping and hiking trips over the years. He was an avid mountaineer and made many great friends on climbs throughout the Rockies, and during his membership with the Alpine Club and the C.M.C. Besides his loving wife Wanda, Cyrus is survived by his son Logan; two brothers, two sisters and their families. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters. A Celebration of Cyrus’ Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, September 16, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
