Obituary of Esmeralda da Ecncarnacao da Costa Pires

Esmeralda da Encarna_Òo da Costa Pires, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the age of 81 years. Esmeralda was born on September 12, 1923 in SÒo Miguel, A_ores, Portugal and immigrated to Canada in June 1972. Esmeralda is survived by her children and their families, Fatima and Serafin Pereira, Filomena and Henrique Raposo, Francisco and Neli Pires, Esmeralda and Alfredo Macedo, all of Calgary, and Miguel and Frances Pires of Coquitlam, BC; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Francisco Pires; her mother and father Isabel and Felipe da Costa; her brothers, JoÒo and Felipe da Costa; and her sister Antonina da Costa.
