Obituary of Anne Martin

Anne Martin (nee Kotelmach) of Calgary passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the age of 92 years. Anne’s early years were spent working as an RN in Banff and also a co-founder of Martin Riding Stables in Banff and was well known in the art circles of Alberta. “Auntie” (as she was known to most of us) was well known for her sense of humour, love of children, ability to be positive, and love of horse races. Anne is survived by her two sisters, Albina Auger, Mitchie Novicki and sister-in-law, Julia Diditch, as well her numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William Martin; her brothers, Michael Diditch, Stephen Diditch; her sister Mary Soroka, and her brothers-in-law Bernard Novicki and Harvey Auger. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (404 – 4th Avenue North, Cochrane, AB) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Frederick Monk, Presider.
