Obituary of Paolina Iafolla
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother and Nonna, Paolina Iafolla of Calgary on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at the George Boyack Nursing Home at the age of 95 years surrounded by her loving family.
Paolina was born in Villalago, Italy and immigrated to Canada on September 24, 1949. She was a kind, giving, loving person whose greatest joy was being with her family.

Paolina is survived by her two sons, Tony and John; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Connie Jamart, Lucy and George Sticksl, Armanda and Leo Virdis, and Josie and Ennio Del Degan; her ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her sister Evelina of Italy. Paolina was predeceased by her husband Ascanio, her son-in-law, Roman, her great-granddaughter Hannah, her sister Maria, all of Calgary, and her brothers, Domenico and Goffredo of Italy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (400 Edmonton Trail N.E.) on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Emanuel Buttigieg, Presider. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery, St. Joseph’s Section. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff of “4 North” at the George Boyack Nursing Home.
