Obituary of Eugene Wilford Henderson

Eugene Wilford Henderson, beloved husband of Alice Henderson of Calgary, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2005 at the age of 76 years, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Gene was born in Barnwell, AB on January 31, 1929 and grew up there. His immense drive and determination during his working years gained him many accolades from the sales industry – Top Salesman for Encyclopedia Brittanica for several years running, followed by thirty successful years in real estate as Owner and Operator of Aquarius Real Estate. In his retirement, he was well known for his creativity and craftsmanship. His sense of fun and generous spirit brought happiness to all who knew him. Gene was a loving husband and proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed by his wife Alice; his three sons Guy and family of Millarville, AB, Lorrie and Suzu and family of Macungie, PA and Lance and Cynthia of Deerfield Beach, FL; daughter Gay and Alex Mentes and family of Kelowna, BC; step-daughter Donna and Richard Weisgerber and family of Calgary; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irene and Larry Thorarinson of Calgary, Audrey Tica of Yuba City, CA and Bernice Yaworski of Spruce Grove, AB; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Ella Henderson of Lethbridge, AB.
