Obituary of Sylvia Elizabeth Minnie Hamilton

Sylvia Hamilton, beloved wife of Bert Hamilton of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the age of 67 years. Sylvia was born on March 25, 1938 in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, and moved to Calgary with her husband in 1961. She devoted most of her life helping others and volunteering her time. In her earlier years she made a huge impact with competitive swimming in Alberta; later she was a devoted employee of FRS Relocation Service. She spent her life enjoying each and everyday. She touched the lives of her family and friends and they will miss her dearly. Sylvia will be remembered by her husband of forty-four years Bert Hamilton; a son Michael Hamilton of Edmonton; a daughter and son-in-law Karen and John Rhodin of Asheville, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Kristen and Jason Rhodin whom she adored; her sister and brother-in-law Ethel and Jimmy Crawford of Portglenone, Northern Ireland; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ian and Morny Hamilton of Stranraer, Scotland; and sister-in-law Margaret Hamilton of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
