She attended school in Irricana and finished her Grade Twelve in Kathyrn, where she met her husband Evertt. They were married July 8, 1944. The homestead north of Irricana where she grew up later became the place where Mary and Evertt farmed and raised their family. The farm was an integral part of her entire life. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and her life revolved around their many activities and kept her young at heart. Mary had many interests and was artistically talented. Some of her favourite hobbies included painting, flower arranging, wheat weaving, and making pansy cards. She especially loved riding her horses. Her avid love for reading and knowledge kept her in tune with the world around her. She was a dedicated member of her church and truly devoted to her faith. Mary loved being actively involved in the KIK Seniors Club. She will be remembered for her unselfish concern for others and her kind and generous spirit. Mary will be dearly missed by all.
