Obituary of Annie Graham Gavin

Nancye Gavin of Calgary, formerly of Edmonton passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at the age of 98 years. Nancye was born on November 29, 1906 in Dumbarton, Scotland. She was the eldest child of seven children, six sisters and one brother. Nancye had a positive attitude and a real zest for life; she loved to travel and at the age of ninety-seven, she made her farewell trip to Mexico. Her family was her life, and her church work her passion. She was active in the Order of Eastern Star, and Gull Lake Baptist Camp. She was also the past President of Baptist Women of Western Canada and CBOMB. Nancye is survived by her son Robert and Shirley of Killaloe, ON, twin daughters, Nancye and Ted Killen of Calgary, Sandra and Herb Yeager of Bellville, ON; eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Rachel Pattinson of Edson, AB, and Betty Parnham of Calgary; and brother Duncan Campbell of Edmonton. Nancye was predeceased by her husband Bob. A Celebration of Nancye’s Life will be held at Bonavista Baptist Church (1507 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ed Dyck, Presider.
