Obituary of Elton David Breneman

Elton Breneman of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 82 years. Elton was born in Kitchener, ON, on July 1, 1923. Elton and Claire were married June 29, 1946. In the early years of their marriage they lived in many communities in southern Ontario, as Elton was often transferred in his career with Texaco. He has lived in Calgary since 1965, and has enjoyed his family, golfing, gardening, traveling, reading, and many happy winters in Maui. Elton is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws, Tom and Janie of Brandon, MB, Gerry and Marylin of Fort McMurray, AB, Ray and Louise of Haines Junction, and Brian and Melda of Edmonton, AB; his grandchildren, Chris, Jody, Kara, Rebecca, Jared, Carrie, and Ian; and six great-grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his sisters, Helen of Barrie, ON, and Edith of Whiterock, BC. He was predeceased by his wife Claire on September 18, 2004. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Sunday, August 28, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
