Obituary of Elaine Anglin
Elaine S. Anglin (nee Monteith) of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the age of 63 years.
Elaine was born in Bristol, England and came to Canada with her family in 1953, at the age of 12 years. Dance was the passion of her early life. At age 16 she returned to London, England to study at the Royal Ballet School, and subsequently danced professionally with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She married David G. Anglin in Calgary on March 5, 1962. Elaine nurtured a love of nature, travel, music, and reading, and served for several years on the Calgary Public Library Board. She rapidly embraced personal computing and the Internet, which became her window on the world. Elaine enjoyed editing and printing photos, playing adventure games, and having video chats with her grandchildren.
Elaine is remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Greg and Kim of Toronto, ON; and daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Doug Reimer of Airdrie, AB; her grandchildren, Heather, Stephanie, Natalie, Jordan, Nicole, and Allison; and her sister Isabel Monteith of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband David (Skip) and parents Eric and Margaret Monteith.
