Obituary of Eugene Wilkie

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness, that we say goodbye to Gene who passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre, on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at the age of 60 years with his family at his side. Gene is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Carol; two daughters Kyla (Darren) Palyszniuk of Airdrie and Erin Wilkie and her fiancÚ Jake Montgomery, of Calgary. His first grandchild, a girl, born on Friday, August 5, 2005 (whom he never saw); Hudsyn Palyszniuk; and his dog Willy. He will be sadly missed by his mother Amy Wilkie; his sister Elizabeth (Gordon) Long, both of Calgary. He is also survived by his in-laws, David and Anne Ramage of Crossfield, AB along with Kevin and Sylvia Ramage of Balzac, AB and Andrew and Lori Ramage from Red Deer, AB; and nieces and nephews, Tyson (Mandy), Jaime (Ken), Jeremy, Ryan, Niamh, Maitland, Langley and Charlie. Gene was predeceased by his father Arthur in 1977.
