Obituary of Hazel Lindsay

Hazel Lindsay of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Hazel was born June 30, 1921 on a farm in Gleichen and attended school in Gleichen, Standard and Calgary. She worked on the Hayes Dairy Farm which is now Haysboro in Calgary, until she enlisted in the Canadian Air Force during World War II and was transferred to Halifax, NS. While in Halifax, Hazel met her first husband Wm. Earl Martin from Garnett, KS who was a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. They raised a son William F. Martin who lives in Torrington, AB. She is also survived by grandchildren Billy and Colleen, and great-grandchildren Jesse and Kyla. Hazel was predeceased by her second husband Wm. George Lindsay; and a son George Gary Lindsay of Calgary.
