Obituary of Paul Yocom
Paul Andrew Yocom of Calgary passed away on Monday, August 8, 2005 at the age of 63 years.
Paul was born in Toronto, ON and educated at St. Michael’s College and the University of Toronto. He served as an Officer in the Canadian Navy from 1962- 1977. Following his naval career, Paul moved to Calgary where he worked with numerous oil and gas companies and started a Private Placements business. Paul was involved in professional and community service; he was past president of the Canadian Club of Calgary and the Calgary Press Club; a member of the Royal Alberta United Services Institute and involved in many other groups. He also served for seventeen years as a reader at St. Francis Church and will be missed by his many friends in the Catholic Community.
Paul is dearly missed by his two children, twins Wesley and Natalie of Calgary; and lovingly remembered by Alyce Harris, his dear friend and companion who so brightened his last years. He is also survived by his twin brother John (Suzy) of Mississauga, ON; sister Mary Anne (Jim) of Toronto; aunt Helen of Dunnville, ON; as well as seven nieces and nephews.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) Thursday, August 11, 2005 from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (211- 6th Avenue S.E.) on Friday, August 12, 2005 at 12:00 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph Hau Duc Tran, OP Presider.
