Obituary of Bridget Waibler
Bridget “Delia” Waibler of Calgary passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the age of 80 years.
Delia was born in Crosshill, Scotland to Margaret and John Durkan. She came to Canada, first to St. Thomas, ON and then to Namao near Edmonton, AB as a Flying Nurse with the RCAF. Delia married her husband Steve soon after, and they spent many happy years in Fort Nelson, Trail and Fort St. James, BC. Later she came to Calgary and made many new friends with her kindness and generosity of spirit.
Delia is lovingly remembered by her sister, Kathleen and brother-in-law Joe Miller; sister-in-law Cecile Held; three nieces, Patricia (David) Cossman, Margaret (Dennis) Daniels, Anne (Leonard) Kotschorek; and three nephews, Tom Miller, Frank and Scott Held and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Steve.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Friday, August 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Inocencio C. Cambaling, Presider. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
