Obituary of Martha Elizabeth CAMPBELL

Martha Elizabeth (Beth) Campbell, beloved wife of the late James William (Bill) Campbell of Calgary, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the age of 90 years.
Beth was born in Edmonton, AB on November 23, 1928. In 1940, the family moved to Salmon Arm, BC, where they farmed and Beth enjoyed her youth.Beth married Bill in 1962; they made their home in Calgary for much of their marriage. They spent a few years in Winnipeg, MB as they followed Bill’s work, but came back to Calgary where Bill retired and they lived out the rest of their days. She was a member of TOPS for many years and was very active in her church and volunteering activities. She and Bill were quite engaged in the Street Rod community and frequently attended rod runs all around Alberta. Beth was very handy and practiced many handcrafts over her life. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time building puzzles with the community at the condo into which she moved.
She will be most remembered for her loyalty, friendship and her quiet faithfulness.
Beth is survived by her children, Grant Campbell, Carolyn Campbell (Dave Johnson), Janelle Heise (Bob Heise); her beloved grandchildren, Rachael Heise, Tanner Heise, and Celt Campbell McCaig. She is also survived by Joyce Anderson (Reg Therrien) in Whitehorse, YK; her sisters, Meryl Pearce, Reta Guthrie, Beryl Goodman, Noel Edmunds; her brother Ralph Maxwell; her sisters-in-law Sheila Campbell and Barbara Maxwell; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Beth was predeceased by her parents, Tim and Edna Maxwell; her husband, Bill Campbell; her brothers, Wes Maxwell and Jim Maxwell; and her sister Marjorie Robertson.
Memorial Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church (2670 Radcliffe Drive S.E., Calgary, AB) on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
