Obituary of Edna Marianne Braun
Edna Marianne Braun, beloved wife of Gerald Braun of Airdrie, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Monday, July 25, 2005 at the age of 65 years.
Edna was born on January 8, 1940 in Humboldt, SK to George and Nora Moeller. She received her education in the Humboldt area and married Gerald Braun on July 7, 1958. They moved to Alberta in 1970. Edna later continued her education earning her L.P.N., and worked at the Didsbury, AB Hospital for eighteen years. Edna and Gerald wintered in Yuma, AZ for thirteen years, where they made many lasting friendships.
Besides her loving husband Gerald, Edna is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law Andrea and Tom Kelly of Calgary; two sons, Dean of Cold Lake, AB and Scott of Airdrie, AB; one grandson Leland Braun; as well as ten siblings and their families. Edna was predeceased by her parents and one brother.
Funeral Services will be held at the Airdrie Alliance Church (1604 Summerfield Boulevard, Airdrie) on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Palsky, Presider. Graveside service to follow at the Airdrie Cemetery.
