Obituary of Michelino Rea

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michelino (Mike) Rea, beloved husband of Carolina “Lina” of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Mike was born on January 7, 1922 in Bonefro, Campobasso, Italy. Mike was a World War II Veteran and served in Italy, Germany and Albania. He married Carolina on January 16, 1947 and they immigrated to Canada in May of 1956. Mike’s passions were hunting, wine making and gardening. Mike is survived by his loving wife Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Marian; daughter Nyckie Rea; grandson Patrick Michael Rea; and granddaughter Nicole Lauren Rea; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in North America and Italy. Mike was predeceased by six siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
