Obituary of Evelyn Chisholm
Evelyn (Lynn) Aileen (nee Pearn) Chisholm of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the age of 72 years.
Lynn was born on October 23, 1932 in Calgary, and was lovingly raised by her mother and grandmother. She began her education at Victoria School and lived in various parts of the inner city throughout her early years. She began her working career at the age of fifteen and worked for various places retiring from Sears after many years of service. Lynn married John Chisholm in November 1951 and later became the proud mother of three daughters. Lynn is lovingly remembered by her family, Donna and Chris Van Tornhout, Debbie and Rick Babin, Lori and Gerry Smith; her special friend Tom Roberts, all of Calgary; nine grandchildren, Erin (Glen) Ellis, Jay (Janine Daigneault) Van Tornhout, Cheryl (Mark) Race, Tom (Lani) Babin, Tara Babin, Cody, Tyler, Keli, Kirsten Smith; two great-grandchildren, Paige and Carter Babin. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret Nykulak of Calgary, Barbara and Sam Balaneski of Brooks. She was predeceased by John Chisholm and a brother-in-law Peter Nykulak.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, July 24, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.
