Obituary of Salvatore Carlesimo

Salvatore Carlesimo of Calgary passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and children after a brief battle with cancer on July 17, 2005 at the age of 73 years. Salvatore was born in Sezze Latina, Italy on November 27, 1931, and was the youngest of eight children. He immigrated to Canada in 1965 with his family. Salvatore was a passionate, strong-willed man who loved to work, garden, and spend quality time surrounded by his family. He also enjoyed playing cards at the social club. Salvatore is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years Giulia, his children and their spouses, Enzo and Serafina Carlesimo, Lori and Domenic Arcuri, Graziella and Nick Lupi; his grandchildren Joanna, Julia, Salvatore, Carlo, Nicoletta, and Daniella; sisters, Elia and Gentile Carlesimo of Italy, Maria Carlesimo, Italo and Filomena Noce, Victor and Augusta Noce, Rita Carducci all of Calgary, Alessandro and Cesira Noce of Italy, Antonio and Pasqualina Noce, of Italy; and numerous other relatives. Salvatore was predeceased by his brother Sante (2003).
