Obituary of Gordon John Garuik

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our much-loved husband and father, Gordon Garuik. Gordon succumbed to cancer after a courageous battle, always maintaining his humour and dignity. Gordon was born in Regina SK on February 20, 1934. He was an Electrician for thirty-two years, retiring from the City of Calgary Electric System in 1989. In his retirement, Gordon enjoyed golfing, travelling, fishing, and camping. Gordon is survived by his wife of forty-two years Mildred; a son Stephen Garuik; a daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Dean Bristow all of Calgary; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joan Uhren, Janice and George Hicock, all of Regina SK; as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
