Obituary of Albina Boreiko

Albina Boreiko, beloved wife of Eugene of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Albina was born in Riga, Latvia. She married Eugene in 1944. Together they escaped Russian occupation by immigrating to Germany, then to England and finally to Canada in 1952. Albina will be missed by her loving husband Eugene; her son Honorijs; daughter Benedikta; sister Valerija; and her niece Irena with their families in Latvia; her sons-in-law, Frank Sigouin-Allan and Jerry Mihoren; and grandchildren, Andrea, Shauna, Lindsey, and Francis-Eugene; as well as Huguette Sigouin-Allan, and Art and Peggy Lepage. Albina will also be missed by her friends and her relatives in Latvia, Germany, England, New Zealand, and Canada who knew her well as the loving, compassionate person she was. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Very Rev.
