Obituary of Marcus George Ranney
Marcus George Ranney of Calgary was taken from us suddenly in a car accident on Sunday, July 10, 2005 at the age of 26 years.
Marcus was born August 15, 1978 in Toronto. He grew up in Toronto and enjoyed numerous sports, but especially loved skiing and basketball. In 1995, the family moved to Calgary where Marcus graduated from St. Mary’s High School. In Calgary he stayed active in sports and became involved in Rugby and skiing. All that knew him will miss him greatly for his zest and love of life.
Marcus is survived by his loving family, mother Johanna Ranney; grandmother Maria Hoefer of Austria; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Rick and Karen Ranney and Kevin Ranney; as well as nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and all his special friends. He was predeceased by his father Richard Ranney in 1999.
