Obituary of Victoria Mangapit Clemente

Victoria Mangapit Clemente de Leon of Calgary passed away on Monday, July 11, 2005 at the age of 55 years. Victoria was born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1971. Vicky was married to Jaime de Leon, her very best friend in life. She loved to pray to the end of her breath. Please offer a prayer or Holy Mass for her instead of flowers. Vicky worked at the Batac General Hospital in the Philippines and then the St. John’s Hospital in Newfoundland after she immigrated to Canada in 1974. She then moved to Alberta to continue her profession, working as a Nurse. Her last place of employment was at the Holy Cross Long-Term Care Centre. Victoria is survived by her loving husband Jaime de Leon; her mother Francisca Clemente; her brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Lydia Clemente, all of Calgary; and her one and only nephew Charles Clemente whom she loved so much. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends in Canada, the U.S.A. and the Philippines. She was predeceased by her daughter Jane Victoria de Leon and her father Dr. Simplicio Clemente. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) today, July 14, 2005 and Friday, July 15, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Inocencio Cambaling, Presider. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace.
