Obituary of Wallace Smalleyes

Wallace Smalleyes, beloved husband of Susan Smalleyes of Morley, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the age of 71 years. In Wallace’s younger years he was a jockey, racing his fathers horses. He was very involved at the Millerville Race Track and the Calgary Stampede. Wallace enjoyed Pow Wow?s, Rodeos and was a big boxing fan. Wallace is survived by his loving wife Susan Rose Smalleyes; seven sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Linda, Ronald and Sheila, Conrad and Kim, Raymond and Rachael, Johnny and Elaine, Spee and Mavis, and Reggie and Jennie; and a daughter and son-in-law Anntonette and Marlin; special grandsons, Shaquille Lefthand and Tribune Holloway; special granddaughters, Kayla Baptiste and Genevieve Holloway; and thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as many relatives in Morley, Eden Valley, Hobbema, and Tsuu T?ina, AB; and Little Pine, Onion Lake, and Red Pheasant, SK. Wallace was predeceased by his grandparents, Moses and Mary Bear; parents Johnny and Jane Smalleyes; son Robert Baptiste; sister Susan Lefthand; brothers, George Smalleyes, Cecil Smalleyes, Ross Smalleyes; and nephews, Barry Big Plume of Tsuu T’ina and Jim Dixon of Eden Valley. The family apologizes for any family they may have missed. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Wallace and Susan Smalleyes (Morley, AB) on Saturday, July 9, 2005 and Sunday, July 10, 2005. Funeral Services will be celebrated at the Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery.
