Obituary of Joan Isabel Blair

Joan Isabel Blair passed away peacefully in Calgary on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at the age of 72 years. Joan poured her energies into being the best mother she could be, and succeeded in that goal—she has left us with too many fond and funny memories to count. “Thanks, Mom”. Her boundless humour, infectious laughter and kindness will be hugely missed by many, including her lifelong friends, Pat Cathro and Myrna (Bee) Thompson; as well as Bob and Fran Murray, with whom she and Burt shared countless poker, bridge and golf games over several decades. She is survived by her three children, John, Janice and Patty; her daughter-in-law Linda; and five grandchildren, David, Steven, Sarah, John, and Kate. She was predeceased by her husband Burt; and her beloved parents Dave and Edna Caldwell. A Memorial Service will be held at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel (16310 Stoney Plain Road, Edmonton, AB) on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
