Obituary of Barbara Joy Goodkey

Barbara Goodkey loving wife, mother, sibling and grandmother passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the age of 70 years. A true Calgarian, Barb was born July 5, 1934. Barb shared her life with her loving husband Walter of fifty-two years, and raised three children, Linda, Kevin, Nancy. She was a Homemaker and an Accountant and had a passion for people. She built joyous memories with her Nifty 50 Senior Group who shared her obsession for golf. For the past seven years the center of her Brag Book was filled with the joy of her life, her granddaughters, Katelynn and Emily. Barb is survived by her husband Walter; children Linda, Kevin (Carol), Nancy (Dave), grandchildren Katelynn and Emily, Bradley and Kristen, Siblings, Pat (Polly), Marlene (Vance), Tom (Lou), Bill (Shirley), Ronnie (Bonnie), Bob (Edie); and numerous extended family; as well as a wealth of long lasting friendships lead by Di and Bob. “No more weather delays and birdies will fill her score card!” Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, July 8, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
