Obituary of Douglas Brigden

Douglas (Doug) Allen Brigden, beloved husband of Joan Brigden of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the age of 75 years. Doug was born on July 16, 1929 in MontrÚal, QuÚ. He and Joan were married on August 9, 1952 in MontrÚal where he also worked for Crane Canada. In 1991 they came to Calgary to be closer to their family. Doug resided at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre. Besides Joan his loving wife of fifty-two years, Doug is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Eric Rayner) and Nancy Brigden (Ron Toole); four grandchildren, Derek, Matthew, Kiersten, and Michael; and four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jenaya, Brodie, and Jake. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Grant and Diane Brigden of MontrÚal; as well as several nieces and nephews. Doug was predeceased by his parents Emily and William; and two sisters.
