Obituary of Marie Louise Davis

Marie Louise Davis (nee Morris), beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, of Mr. Bernard Davis, of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre, on Monday, June 13, 2005 at the age of 63 years. Marie was born in Belize City on January 5, 1942. She immigrated to Canada in 1972 and achieved her Bachelor of Education and Masters of Science degree at the U of C. Shortly after her education, she was a Sessional Instructor at the U of C, a Math Teacher at the Calgary Hebrew School, Queen Elizabeth High School and Ernest Manning High School. After retiring from teaching, Marie became a Financial Advisor. Marie’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and many, many friends. She is survived by her husband Bernard Davis; and her children Sheryl (Dale) Schoenthaler, Kevin (Carrie) and their son Owen Davis, Michelle (fiancÚ Bryan Mahoney Jr.); her brother Ivan A. Morris; sister Felicia Morris; her mother Amethyst Sedacy; and her extended family in Belize and the United States. Marie was predeceased by her father, Ivan E. Morris. A Memorial Service will be held at St. David’s United Church (3303 Capitol Hill Crescent N.W.) on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Lynn Watson, Presider. Reception to follow.
