Obituary of William Kenneth Hockin

William Kenneth (Ken) Hockin, beloved husband of Marleen Hockin of Strathmore, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the age of 72 years. Ken was born on January 14, 1933 in Windsor, ON. He enlisted in the RCAF at the age of eighteen. Ken served for twenty-four years, retiring to Calgary in 1974. He later became employed as an Occupational Health and Safety Inspector. Ken was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Besides his loving wife Marleen, Ken is survived by nine children, Laura Lee (Rob) Dunford, Andy (Heather) Hockin, Toni Lynn (Gord) Barrie, Brent (Debbie) Hockin, Ron (Julie) Hockin, Marni Hockin (Wesley Dougan), Eric Voyer, Michelle (Dave) Caissie, and Andrea (John) Culshaw; sixteen grandchildren, Tawnia, Robin, Sarah, Joey, Tyler, Sean, Jessica, Katelyn, Madeline, Grace, Ashlynn, Natascha, Jordan, Joshua, Nicole, and Jacob; and a great-grandchild Taylor. He is also survived by a sister Theresa Roy; and two brothers, Bob (Lillian) Hockin and Raymond (Nancy) Hockin. A private family service will be held.
