Obituary of Vincenzo Scarpino
Vincenzo Scarpino of Calgary passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at the age of 85 years.
Vincenzo enjoyed gardening, wine making and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was an avid sports fan, particularly enjoying the Calgary Flames.
He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Serafino and Lina, Angelo and Gayle, and Luciano and Christine, all of Calgary; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Emilia and Greg Gentile and Pina and Frank Bellotto; as well as twelve grandchildren, Maria (Donny), Russ, Robert (Jen), Vincenzo, David, Ermelinda, Marco, Sara, Christopher, Sabrina, Nicky, and Matthew; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Adriana and Alessandra; as well as a brother Antonio and family of Calgary, sister Rosina and family; numerous nieces and nephews; and the Reverend Pietro Arcuri, of Italy. Vincenzo was predeceased by his wife Ermelinda; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Very Rev. Bryan K. Frank, Presider.
