Obituary of Coby Quinn LaForge

Coby Quinn LaForge of Aldersyde, AB passed away on Friday, June 10, 2005 at the age of 34 years. Coby lived a short but full life filled with fishing adventures, whitetail bucks, high country elk and trips into the far north in search of moose and memories. His happiest times were spent swapping stories of past adventures around the campfire. Coby’s wide smile and deep laugh will be sadly missed next September in elk camp by his great friends, Tyler and Glen Laycock, Mike Kneller, Kevin McGillicky, Ron Riopel, Ken Landsiedel, Ed Brace and Shawn Mclean. Coby’s energetic smile and personality have forever changed the lives of all who knew him. Coby in our hearts you are not gone, but rather one ridge over from us chasing Elkzilla, hunt hard my friend. Coby will be forever lovingly remembered by his parents Robert and Marlene LaForge, and his brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Elin LaForge of Okotoks, AB. Coby had a large loving family who will miss him greatly. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins who were very special to him, in particular his two young nephews, Wyatt and Chase who idolized his every move. Coby leaves to cherish his memory his great aunt Ruth McLachlan of Victoria, BC; and his aunts and uncles, Fred and Vivian LaForge of Ottawa, ON, Avaleen and Robert Gibson of Edmonton; as well as his cousins, Kimerie and husband Tom Stewart of Calgary, Christopher and wife Anna Janzen of Edmonton, AB and his Godparents Patrick and Fran LaForge of Edmonton. Coby was predeceased by his Nana and Papa, Jay and Vera Hazzard of Drayton Valley, AB. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Julian Studden, Presider.
