Obituary of Clarice Locke

Clarice Locke, of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2005 at the age of 74 years. Daughter of Harry and Adele Lander, Clarice was predeceased by her husband Gene H. Locke. She is survived by her children, Bill (Laura), Jack, and Cindy (Len) Pock. Also, by her brothers, Coleman (Lily) and S. David Lander. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Jesse, Meghan, and Peter Locke and was especially fond of her niece Sharlene Lander. Her family was her happiness. Born in Winnipeg, Clarice grew up in Veteran, Black Diamond, and Calgary, Alberta where her father Dr. Harry and uncle Dr. David Lander practiced medicine. Clarice showed her love by giving of herself to support her family and her community through many volunteer efforts, including Hadassah Women and Viscount Bennett High School. Special friends Al and Arlene Wolff; caregivers, Lorna Wilson and Ann Kirkpatrick, and many other friends at Shalem Manor helped make Clarice’s life rich and joyous. This small woman with a caring heart will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, June 15 at Chevra Kadisha(1720- 17 Ave SW), followed by interment at Erlton Cemetery, 1 Street and 30 Ave. S.W. A celebration of Clarice’s life will be held at Shalem Manor, 3010-51 St. S.W. 1:00 PM
