Obituary of Dorothy Larson

Dorothy passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Sherry (Ernie), Wendi, Gayle (Rob), and Barry (Maire); her grandchildren, Sandra (Mike), Courtenay (Nathan), Kristin (Clifford), Shannon and Nicholas will miss her dearly; as well as her great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Olivia, Samuel, and Shealynn. Also surviving her is her brother Robert (Evelyn). Dorothy was predeceased by her mother Gertrude, her father Archie, her brother Jim, and her husband Alvin. Dorothy’s career started with Mannix Construction. She then became an active member with the Calgary Real Estate Board for thirty-five years and a Founding Member of Executive Women’s International. She was President of CREB for two terms. Her Real Estate career started with P.J. Toole Cote and later Toole Peet. Dorothy reached Milestone status not only with the Real Estate Association but also in EWI where she made lifelong friends. Her volunteer associations will be forever remembered by all. Dorothy touched many lives – professionally and personally. Her smile, her laughter, love and radiance is her gift to us.
