Obituary of John Joseph Delaney
John Joseph (Jack) Delaney, beloved husband of Mary Delaney of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the age of 78 years.
John was born in Clones, County Monaghan, Ireland and worked for the GNR Bus Company. He married Mary in Dublin in 1951 and they moved to Canada in 1960 and was employed with the Calgary Separate School Board for twenty-four years before retiring. They had a very happy marriage for fifty-three years.
Besides his loving wife Mary, he is also survived by two daughters, Anne (Randy) Haynes and Maureen Delaney; his son John (Donna); two grandsons, Ryan (Christine) and Matthew (Rattyya); a sister Lily in Ireland; a brother Domnick of Vancouver BC; as well as nieces and nephews, also of Ireland.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. A. Wayne Poile Presider. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
