Obituary of Ross Skaken

It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Ross Skaken announces his passing on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the age of 82 years. Ross was born in Romania on October 17, 1922. Ross became an exceptional man and Doctor who touched the lives of many people whom he knew and loved. As his life slowly slipped away, many people who came into his presence as complete strangers, yet quickly began to care for him and really help him in his time of need. He was greatly blessed because of all those lives he touched, during his life, his kindness was returned ten-fold by those in whose care he spent his final years. Ross will live forever in our hearts and memory this great man’s presence will be sadly missed. Ross is survived by his children, Karole (Malcolm) Powell and son Blake of Vancouver, BC, Jasmine (Curtis) Martin of Calgary their son Kassidy and daughters Carly and Cindy, Dr. Sinnoi (Dianne) Skaken of Calgary their daughter Sarah and son Nicky, Ray (Ross Jr) Skaken of Vancouver, BC.; his two sisters, Trasey (Vance) Hitchcock and Ricki (Dan) Swanson, both of the United States; and his very dear friend Doris McRae of Calgary whose love, care and devotion made Ross?s life so special to the very end. She was the sunshine in his life. A Celebration of Dr. Ross Skaken’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with the Dr. Herman J.
