Obituary of Bruce Russell Peterson

Our Grandpa Bruce passed away quietly on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the Beverley Centre Lake Midnapore, with his family at his side, at the age of 82 years. While we were sad to let him go, he had coped with Parkinson’s disease for eleven years and the last few years had been difficult. In spite of challenges, he never complained and his gentle loving nature persisted. Bruce lived a full life with his wife of fifty-eight years, Marguerite. They met and married in Kitchener, ON and had three children before moving to Calgary in 1962. Dad’s best years were after his retirement when they moved to Peachland, BC enjoying a range of sports and regular dinners out. They returned to Calgary several years ago to be close to family. Besides his loving wife, Bruce leaves in sadness his son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Sheila; daughter Jane and her children, Patrick and Susan; daughter and son-in-law Mary and Rob, and their children, Mac and Shannon. Funeral Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church (14640 – 6th Street S.W.) on Monday, May 30, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Anthony Heiraas, Presider.
