Obituary of Jennie Brown

Jennie Brown, beloved wife of Mr. Harold Brown of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Jennie was born on September 5, 1921 in Ballymoney, Ireland and immigrated to Canada and Red Deer AB, when she was a child. Jennie met Harold in1938 and married him on July 28, 1942. While Harold served in the Army, Jennie lived with his parents in the Pine Lake AB, area, and was soon one of the family. They moved to Calgary in April, 1949. Jennie was an active member of her church and was a proud and loving grandmother. Jennie is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Philip Harness of Squamish, BC; by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Douanne Brown of Coquitlam, B.C, Greg and Joan Brown of Balzac AB; and five grandchildren, Becky, Ben, Mitchell, Steven, and Katie Brown. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Hazel Murray of Red Deer. Jennie was predeceased by her two sisters, Nellie Mulroney and Lillie Murray. Funeral Services will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (1102 – 23rd Avenue N.W.) on Friday, May 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Vincent, Presider.
