Obituary of Robert Francis Tucker Brennan
Robert (Bob) Francis Tucker Brennan, beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara Brennan of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at the age of 72 years.
Bob was born on April 6, 1933 in St. John, NB. He enrolled in the Royal Canadian Dragoons in 1952 and after completing basic training was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment. His duty as an infantryman included such postings as Europe (1953-1955) and Indo China (1958-1959). In 1959 he was assigned to the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. and saw service with the 4 Field Ambulance 2 Airborne Medical Section, the CFH Halifax, 4 CSMU, and 1 Field Ambulance. He reached the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration. Bob married Barbara on June 4, 1960 in St. John, NB. He enjoyed amateur radio, woodworking, and music; passing his joy of music on to his sons and grandchildren.
Besides his loving wife Barbara, Bob is also survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Bob and Karen Brennan, Mike and Susan Brennan; four grandchildren, Laura, Jaymie, Jesse and Jennifer; and his sisters, Grace, Lidia, Clara, and Connie.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at St. Thomas United Church (100 Hawkwood Boulevard N.W.) on Monday, May 30, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Deborah Lannon, Presider.
