Obituary of Antonio Pullano
Antonio Pullano of Calgary passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 81 years.
Antonio was born in Taverna, Italy on November 17, 1923. He moved to Calgary in March 1954 and married his life long love on August 20, 1955. Antonio worked most of his life with Poole Construction Limited (PCL) until retirement and sacrificed much in his labour of love to provide for his family. His loves in life is his family, wine-making and his passion for gardening. Antonio touched the hearts of many people and will be remembered as a very unselfish, caring and hospitable man. He was a strong man of small stature with a caring heart, and will be dearly missed. Ti ameremo sempre.
Antonio is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Giuseppina; three children and their spouses, Tina and Frank Gallucci, Frank and Patricia Pullano, Steven and Carolyn Pullano and expecting grandchild and two granddaughters, Christa and Alissa Gallucci; his brother Gaetano Pullano (Aurora – deceased); and his sister, Marietta Tassone (Bruno – deceased); as well as many nieces and nephews. Antonio was predeceased by his parents Domenico and Clementina.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2005. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
