Obituary of Harvey Ross David

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ross David on May 18, 2005, due to complications resulting from an accident at the age of 79 years. Ross was born on May 6, 1926 in London, ON. He worked as a salesperson for many years for the Associated Dentists Company. Ross loved his family and each and every year took them on wonderful vacations throughout Canada and the United States. He was also very involved with his children as they grew up. chauffeuring them to piano, ballet and horseback-riding lessons. Ross himself was an avid self-taught piano player and loved all kinds of music, especially jazz. He also had a great sense of humour and always said ‘Laughter is the best medicine.’ In 1978 Ross and Joyce moved west where their daughter Janet had already settled. Ross loved the west, the mountains, the freedom, and the people. He loved all animals and was keenly interested in any new furry acquisitions the family acquired. Ross will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of fifty-four years, Joyce; daughter Janet David and grandsons, David and Andrew Benson of Bragg Creek, AB. Daughter, and son-in-law, Sheila and Paul Greenaway and children, Cole, Bonnie and Shea of Dorset, ON. Ross is also survived by two sisters and brothers in-law, Rita and Warren Blahout and Eileen Smith and Bill Burgess both of London,ON; as well as many nieces and nephews. We will never forget Rosco, a wonderful, kind hearted husband, father, Grampa, and friend to many. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at Foothills Medical Centre for their excellent and supportive care. A Private Family Remembrance will be held at a later date in Bragg Creek and Dorset, ON.
