Obituary of Irene Margoria Dirk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Irene Margoria Dirk passed away on May 13, 2005. ‘Your passing has torn a light from our hearts and placed it in the heavens’ Mom enjoyed gardening; she could coax life from the grittiest soil. She loved to sew, knit and crochet. Cooking was a joy and she enjoyed having lots of family and friends around her table. Her life was dedicated to her family and friends. She always gave from the vast garden that she grew. She gave from her heart right down to the bottom of her pocket. Irene is remembered by her husband John, son Garry (Dawn), of Calgary and her daughter Michele (Bryan), of Mission BC; her grandchildren, Travis, Chandler, Christopher, Sarah, Matthew, Jordan and Mason. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Vivian (George), of Medicine Hat and Dorothy (Alan) of Ontario. She was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia in August of 1995. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. David Zimmerman, Presider.
