Obituary of Roberta Helen MacDonald

Roberta Helen (Butt) MacDonald (nee Sherry), beloved wife of Mr. Harry MacDonald for forty-eight years, formerly of Toronto, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the age of 70 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her many family and friends from Toronto, Niagara Falls, Calgary, and Nova Scotia. In addition to her own grandchildren and great-grandchild, Roberta was “Grandma” to the children of other family and friends. Her love and devotion to her family and friends was matched only by her love of entertaining which gained her the title of “Hostess with the Mostest”. Besides her loving husband, Roberta is remembered by Bernie MacDonald and Michelle Voellmecke of Brampton, ON, Brenda MacDonald and Paul Samson of Acton, ON; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Layla, Jessica, Ryan, Kailey, Melanie and Ron. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Woodward of Niagara Falls, ON. Roberta was predeceased by her sister Dorthy, brother Jack, and twin brother Robert. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Roberta will be taken home and laid to rest at a later date.
