Obituary of Olivenia Moon
Olivenia (Olive) Moon of Calgary passed away on May 8, 2005 nearly six weeks after her 100th birthday.
Olive was born on March 23, 1905 in Wingate, County Durham, England. She enjoyed working in her garden and she had a very green thumb. Olive also liked to spend her time sewing, knitting, crocheting, and baking. She was a real people-person and loved to be around children.
Olive is survived by her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Moon (nee Aitken); the Wardle family, all of Calgary; her cousin Heather (Fred) Hall and family in Medicine Hat, AB. Olive was predeceased by her husband Charles Arthur Moon; and by her son Peter Robert.
A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Mausoleum (Fourth Street and 31 Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev.
