Obituary of Ernest Gordon Buckland

Ernest Gordon Buckland of Calgary, beloved husband of Lillian for fifty-three years, passed away peacefully at Chinook Hospice on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the age of 74 years. Ernie was born on February 5, 1931 in Alliance, AB. Playing sports, fun with family and friends, and many journeys in the motorhome characterized the full life he lived. Ernie is survived by his children, Jacalyn and Roger Joki of DeWinton, AB, Jill and Rod Forsyth of Medicine Hat, AB, Winston and Donna Buckland of DeWinton, AB, and Spencer and Kathy Buckland of Castlegar, BC He was very proud of his grandchildren, Aaron, Tiana, Tyler, Kurtis, Jeanette, Parker, Natasha, and Katelyn. Ernie leaves his brother Bill (Verna) of Vegreville, his sisters, Peggy of Sydney, B.C., Gweneth of Edmonton, AB and Judy (Larry) of Irma; and sister-in-law Irene of Vancouver, BC. Ernie was predeceased by his parents John and Stella; his brother Ted; and his sister Joyce Robertson.
