Obituary of Joseph Savoie

Marcel Savoie, beloved husband of Charlotte and loving father of Deborah Eastlick (Kim), Lance Savoie (Carole) and Marcel Savoie Jr. (Lynn), died Tuesday, May 10, 2005 with his family at his side. Marcel was born to Joseph and Clarinda Savoie in Villeneuve Alberta. Marcel was a man of integrity, faith and family. He upheld high ethical and moral standards in his long career with Texaco Canada Resources and demonstrated compassionate leadership in the Knights of Columbus and through pastoral care at the Rockyview Hospital. His commitment to family and paternal love transcended generations and vastly enriched the lives of his children and grandchildren. Marcel and Charlotte recently celebrated fifty years of marriage in devotion to each other sustained by their deep and abiding faith. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Raymond and Armand; sisters Jeanne and Alice; and daughter Bernadette. He leaves to celebrate his life, his brother Edmund; sisters, Edith Charuk, Pauline Comeau and Jean Boser; and special family friend Wilhemina Vonk. Living his legacy are his grandchildren, Quinn Eastlick; Jasmine, Tracey and Kaeli Savoie; and Nicholle and Connor Savoie. If we died with Him, We shall also live with Him.
