Obituary of Sidney Percy Hawley

Sidney Hawley, beloved husband of Virginia Hawley of Calgary, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, May 6, 2005 at the age of 95 years. Sidney was a World War II Veteran, he served in the Medical Corp until his discharge on October 16, 1945. Sid worked as a Hospital Orderly at Allco Infirmary and Riverview Hospital in BC until his retirement in May 1975. During his retirement they lived in Meloquois, Enderby, and Golden BC before moving to Calgary six years ago to be closer to family. Left to celebrate his long life is his partner of fifty-three years Virginia; daughter Lennie Hamilton; grandchildren, Marnie (Johnson) Wong, Mark (Johanne) Hamilton, and Rob Hamilton; and great-grandchildren, Javid, Malloreigh, Sean Hamilton, and Tia Wong. A Celebration of Sid’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
