Obituary of William Karpuk

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden loss of William (Bill) (Gigi) Karpuk of Calgary on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at the age of 95 years. Bill was born on July 29, 1909 in Halinow, Russia. He married Victoria in 1932 and had one child Steve. Bill was a carpenter for many years before his involvement in the hotel business until his retirement. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Ethel (Steve, deceased); grandchildren, Brenda, Bradley (Karen), David (Karen); great-grandchildren, Carisa, Sara, Christopher, Jenna, Joshua, and Jordan; his sisters-in-law Stella Andreychuk of Calgary; and Molly (George) Michalenko of Abbotsford, BC; as well as many relatives here and in Russia. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Victoria in 1989; and his only child Steve in 2004. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
