Obituary of Pearl Lindsay
Pearl Louise Lindsay of Calgary passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the age of 84 years.
Pearl was born on January 20, 1921 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She moved to Canada and was raised in Strome, AB, where she met and married her husband of sixty-one years. She volunteered with the Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic and was a long-time member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Pearl was an amazing pie baker, and her kitchen was always brimming with delicious treats. She loved to sew, knit, crochet, and she created many beautiful pieces with her talented hands. Later in life, one of Pearl’s passions was Tai Chi. She and Don also made bi-annual trips to their beloved Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. Pearl is survived by her son, Stuart; daughters and son-in-law, Deanna Lindsay, Shelley and Doug Henderson, all of Calgary; two grandchildren, Tracy and Don Campbell, Leah Lindsay; three great-grandchildren, Danielle, Darrell, Kaitlin; sister Marion Staszko of Camrose. She was predeceased by her husband Donald.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Krystian Golisz SDS, Presider. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
