Obituary of Harriet Browne

Harriet “Anne” Browne, beloved widow of Allan Browne of Calgary, passed away at the Rosedale Hospice on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Anne was the only daughter born to Charles and Lulu Mehaffie on December 10, 1919 in Big Valley, AB. After she moved to Calgary, Anne was employed with C.P.R. first at the Banff Springs Hotel and later at the Palliser Hotel. On June 23, 1945, Anne married Allan H. Browne in Stettler, AB. She spent more than twenty years travelling to Phoenix, AZ during the winter months. The last few years she was accompanied by her dear friend, Nietta Harrisen. Anne loved to travel and encouraged everyone to do so. Anne leaves to mourn her passing many nephews and nieces; and her dear friend Nietta Harrisen. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Allan; and her special friend Harold Davis. A Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.
