Obituary of Francoise Ernestine Livingston-Prevost
Francoise Ernestine (Nanny) Prevost, of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Long-Term Care Centre (Carewest) on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the age of 94 years.
Francoise was born on October 18, 1910 in MontrÚal, QC where she met and married Walter Livingston in 1934 and was widowed in 1954. It was during this time that she gave birth to Vivian, Monica, John, Arthur, Robert, and Richard. She remarried in 1962 to Gerald Prevost and widowed in 1970. She then moved to Atlanta, GA with her brother Richard and they travelled extensively for twenty years. In 1990 she returned to MontrÚal. Frances was most happy when she was surrounded by her family which included fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Frances kept many enduring friendships from her travels including her nine brothers and sisters. Over the years, Frances enjoyed singing in church choirs and maintained her membership in bowling leagues wherever she happened to live. The favourite memories of Frances are of her dancing to the music of her daughters and sons.
Frances is survived by her grandchildren and their families, Michael and Lucy Dubeau, Linda and Brian Penning, Vivian and Sean Duffy, Pierre Dubeau, Diane and Ric Huber, Karen and Gerry Maddock, Steve Livingston, Scott Livingston, Angie and Stan George, Lee Livingston, Danny and Marleen Livingston, Nancy Davin and Greg and Kim Davin. She also leaves to mourn, her only surviving sister Renee. Frances was predeceased by her son John Livingston; her daughter Vivian Dubeau; and her grandchildren, Claude Dubeau and Kim Livingston.
